• Heat pump installers or tradespeople
• Financial advisors
• Energy consultants or surveyors
• A substitute for professional advice tailored to your specific home

Our content is for general information purposes. While we strive for accuracy, you should always get a professional survey and quote before making decisions about heating your home.

The cost figures, running cost calculations, and savings estimates on our site are based on publicly available data and clearly stated assumptions. They are provided to give you a general understanding of costs and are not guarantees.

Actual costs depend on your specific property, location, chosen installer, system specification, and current market conditions. The only way to get an accurate, binding price is through a formal quote from an MCS-certified installer following a home survey.

We update our figures regularly (see our methodology page for details), but we cannot guarantee that all figures are current at the exact moment you read them.

Our quote form lets you request a heat pump quote for your home:

• we pass your request to an MCS-certified installer covering your area, who will contact you about a quote
• installers may pay us for the introduction; you pay us nothing
• sending an enquiry is free and you are under no obligation
• we are not installers. We do not survey homes, quote prices, carry out or supervise installation work, or apply for grants on your behalf

If you later choose to deal with an installer, any quote, contract, deposit, installation or guarantee is between you and that installer. They are responsible for their own work, their MCS certification, any grant application they make for you, and their compliance with consumer law, and you keep all your statutory rights against them. All content on this website — including text, calculations, tools, design, and code — is owned by the operator of Home Heat Pump Guide unless otherwise stated.
